Sterling, are you dragging your stories into where you would usually favourite things? Because that's not how you submit stuff. There should be a button saying "Submit To A Group" to the right of the story on it's own page. You select that, select Submit To Group Gallery, select Featured, and then OK. That ought to do it.

I'll admit, I just followed the group page's directions.
IE "Click your name to submit things."
I clicked my name, then I clicked the only button I found that wasn't "leave the group", which was, in fact, "suggest favourite."
It was my only lead, thanks for the tutorial.
